WHY NEARLY HALF OF MILLENNIALS PLAN TO LEAVE THEIR JOB IN TWO YEARS . . .
The research has been screaming employers are “out of step” with Millennial’s priorities – the values of this generation are opposite the antiquated hierarchy values.
51% say their organization’s primary focus is on generating profit when 43% of the Millennials value generating jobs to help grow people. Because we know when people grow so does the business!
The old ways of doing business and the contemporary views and motivations aren’t in harmony, they don’t sync up causing Millennials to jump ship often. This is costing companies thousands if not millions of dollars, who’s doing the math?
The reality is employers aren’t going to change the values of this generation. They know what matters to them and they aren’t looking for a paycheck, they want to make a difference!
I challenge you to take a hard look at how your organization is making a difference for the greater good of all. Are you training your leaders on the changes in values to better attract and retain the Millennials? It's imperative to start the shift now!
2020 TIME FOR BOLD NEW BEGINNINGS . . .
Have you considered the ramifications impacting all of us when 85% of worldwide workers are not happy at work? How has this damaged your bottom line, productivity, and innovation?
Are you spinning your wheels dealing with the same ole same ole rather than investing the time and strategy to build a culture that nurtures engaged behaviors?
I encourage you to pause a minute and answer honestly these questions. Too many organizations turn a blind eye to engagement, ignoring the cost and how it weakens people.
When people are living in the shadows not expressing their true authentic self, the potential is lost. When people dim their light to get by, no one grows including the organization.
Let’s change that and make employee engagement a priority this year!
I challenge you to set a goal to engage 70% or more of your employees and watch innovation and productivity skyrocket.
When people are showing up and supported for their whole-self living their full potential, it’s an unstoppable magnitude of goodness, decency, and creation set to affect the betterment for all. It's time to do it differently in 2020!
MILLENNIALS HAVE A BIGGER PURPOSE . . .
Too often we hear negative remarks about Millennials - they think they're entitled, they don’t want to work their way up instead start at the top, they have no work ethics, etc.
Would you consider they are bringing a different attitude and set of values to the workplace for a higher purpose?
Because we know nothing stays the same forever. What if their primary role is to help us evolve in consciousness - to grow?
Unfortunately, adults have been stuck working in a Dependent System, which fosters parent-child relationships. This system relies on fear, command, and control to manipulate adults. It robs human beings of their true potential.
GenXers tried to change it furthering an Independent System - focused on “I”. How do I win? How do I climb the corporate ladder at anyone else’s expense?
Thank goodness the Millennials are helping move us to Interdependent relationships – focused on “we". How do we succeed? How do we all win?
here are 89 million of them and by golly, they are paving the way toward a better future for all of us!
It’s a beautiful progression in evolution to help bridge the great divides we've been trapped in. I encourage gaining an understanding how to embrace the changes coming!
MILLENNIALS BRINGING WHOLE-SELF . . .
Most cultures espousal competition, abuse of power, ego bolstering, domination, and control.
We’ve been conditioned power is based on status – how much control you have and how much wealth and materialism you’ve accumulated.
All fake power and leaves you feeling superior or inferior. In talking to a Millennial, she felt people ask you what you do to determine what level of respect to pay you. Sad but true.
Our conditioning is changing folks, we’re headed into a bold new decade bringing transformations, unlike anything we’ve ever seen.
New cultures will start shaping that honor our whole-self – powerful, worthy, lovable, and unique, intolerant of fakeness and superior mindsets.
It’s about you defining your worth not having to please, prove, perfect, or perform. It’s about you standing in your power being able to ask for what you need without fear of disapproval.
It’s about you offering your unique perspectives and ideas without fear of retaliation. It’s about you loving yourself and others without judgment.
It’s about showing up and being the real you – not the pretend self or dimming your light to fit and feel accepted.
Better times are coming! Keep looking up.
